17Capital announces opening of New York office

17Capital, the London-headquartered private equity firm, is pleased to announce the opening of an office in New York. A local presence will enable the firm to reinforce client relationships and increase its already significant investment activity across North America. The office complements 17Capital’s long-established European base.
17Capital has invested in a number of transactions across North America, including providing additional capital for buyout funds to make add-on acquisitions.

 

The New York investment team includes:

 

  • Robert de Corainville, Partner  
Robert joined 17Capital in 2010 and is relocating from London to head up the US office. He has over 15 years of private equity and investment banking experience. Robert has led a number of the firm’s recent transactions in both North America and Europe
  • Stephen Swentzel, Investment Director
Stephen joined 17Capital in September 2016. His previous experience includes: HQ Capital PE and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
  • Michael Weinstein, Associate
Michael joined 17Capital in 2014 and is also relocating from London to the New York office. He previously worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch
  • Jeffrey Emmerling, Associate
Jeffrey joined 17Capital in September 2016 from Landmark Partners
