17Capital expands North America team

  • Appointment of Daniel Lee as Head of Fundraising and Investor Relations, North America
  • Appointment of Greg Hardiman as Senior Associate in the Investment Team

 

17Capital expands its North America team with two senior appointments. Daniel Lee joins as Head of Fundraising and Investor Relations, North America and Greg Hardiman joins as Senior Associate in the Investment team, both are based in our New York office.

Daniel joins from Aethon Energy, a private equity firm with over $3.5 billion in assets where he led strategy development and execution for all private equity capital formation initiatives, raising $1.3 billion under his leadership. Prior to joining Aethon, Daniel was Head of Investor Relations for Aquiline Capital Partners, a financial services focused private equity firm with over $4.5 billion in assets under management. While at Aquiline, Dan led the firm’s fundraising efforts for its $1.1 billion third fund.

Previously, he was Head of Investor Relations for middle market consumer private equity firm and he is also experienced as a placement agent and as an investment banker, having been involved in capital raising for buyout, venture capital, distressed debt, and real asset fund managers. He began his career in the mergers and acquisitions group at Fox-Pitt Kelton, a global boutique investment bank specializing in the financial services sector.

 

Greg has been with 17Capital while studying for his MBA in Finance at Columbia Business School and now joins the team permanently. Prior to this Greg was an AVP for Conning in their Corporate Development division and a Senior Analyst at Man Group in their Leveraged Credit division.

Daniel and Greg bring the New York team to 9 led by Partner Robert de Corainville who set up the New York office in 2016.
